LLVIP Wilshire 2010 Profile is one of four Target Maturity Profile Funds designed for investors planning to retire close to the year indicated in the name of the Fund. Others in the series include the LVIP Wilshire 2020, 2030, and 2040 Profile Funds. Each of the four Target Maturity Profile Funds invests in underlying funds which, in turn, invest in equity (stocks) and fixed-income (bonds) securities. Asset allocations will become more conservative over time as the target maturity date draws closer.
The current target allocation for the LVIP Wilshire 2010 Profile Fund includes investing approximately 45% of its assets in underlying funds which invest primarily in fixed-income securities and approximately 55% in underlying funds which invest primarily in equity securities.
